Allendale is located at 40°29?5?N 94°17?24?W? / ?40.48472°N 94.29°W? / 40.48472; -94.29 (40.484813, -94.290028). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.5 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 54 people, 26 households, and 15 families residing in the town. The population density was 95.1 people per square mile (36.6/km²). There were 35 housing units at an average density of 61.6/sq mi (23.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100 percent white. There were 26 households out of which 15.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% were married couples living together, 3.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.3% were non-families. 34.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.2% had someone living...
