According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.0 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 286 people, 125 households, and 75 families residing in the city. The population density was 378.5 people per square mile (145.3/km²). There were 131 housing units at an average density of 173.4/sq mi (66.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White. There were 125 households out of which 27.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.8% were married couples living together, 7.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 40.0% were non-families. 35.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 22.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age...
