Elmo is a town in Emery County, Utah, United States. The population was 368 at the 2000 census. Elmo is located at 39°23?26?N 110°48?58?W? / ?39.39056°N 110.81611°W? / 39.39056; -110.81611 (39.390554, -110.816209). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 368 people, 112 households, and 93 families residing in the town. The population density was 597.9 people per square mile (229.2/km²). There were 120 housing units at an average density of 195.0/sq mi (74.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.74% White, 0.27% African American, 0.54% Native American, 0.54% Pacific Islander, and 1.90% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.35% of the population.
